We are looking for an exceptional Senior Designe Project Manager to join a leading design studio in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across the maritime and hospitality sectors, ensuring world-class designs and successful project delivery.

About the Role:

As a Senior Interior Designer/Project Manager, you will lead projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong design skills and expertise in managing budgets and timelines. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects and supporting the growth of the design team. You’ll be responsible for managing client relationships, team workflows, and driving the success of both design outcomes and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Present design concepts and progress at client meetings
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior and mid-level designers
  • Develop conceptual designs using CAD software (2D & 3D); knowledge of Vectorworks is advantageous
  • Oversee FF&E selection, material detailing, and scheduling
  • Manage on-site activities and coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers
  • Build and grow client relationships, while identifying new business opportunities
  • Handle project reporting, documentation, and ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of experience leading design projects from concept to completion
  • Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (2D & 3D), with Vectorworks knowledge being a plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and team management skills
  • Proven experience working on-site, with strong knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Ability to balance creativity with strategic planning to achieve project profitability
  • Skilled in FF&E selection and specification
  • Confident, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to create detailed design proposals and documentation
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Adept at visualising concepts through sketches and CAD software
  • Track record of mentoring design teams and managing client expectations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
